Enhancement Crew Foreman

This individual understands attention to detail and successfully leads and motivates a small team daily. Working in the field with their crew, your team is responsible for roles such as garden improvements, new plant installations, maintenance, lawn renovation (sodding and seeding), and other small landscaping projects.

This individual need not be experienced but should be comfortable with communication with our clients on a regular basis in the field, have comfort in working with power equipment, love the outdoors and physically be up to the challenges associated with the landscaping. Applicants MUST be licensed and expect a driving abstract review. experience in driving a truck/trailer combination is expected.

Hours – typically 40 per week, Monday through Friday. However, during peak times a willingness to work hours beyond the norm will be required. No Sundays but there will be the occasional Saturday. We also offer bonus opportunities.

Hourly Compensation rate of $22-24 pending qualifications.

Maintenance Crew Leader

Seeking a motivated, full-time property maintenance professional to be responsible for clients’ properties; experience is not required as training is provided. This candidate will be expected to work in the field daily with one assistant and, at times, more. This individual must be personable and comfortable with meeting clients to discuss specific property details to maintain these properties to the superior standards is expected.

Individuals with the ability to make small repairs and maintain our field equipment: mowers, trimmers, landscape equipment, small engines, and being comfortable with operating all of the mentioned equipment will be given greater consideration. Individuals who meet the following requirements should apply for this position.

A keen interest in working outdoors, attention to detail, and comfortable with operating power equipment

Clean drivers abstract and comfortable driving trucks with large trailers

Able to get to and from our location in Kitchener and work flexible hours, with a start time of 7am

The position is available April through November. Winter employment is also a possibility for the right candidate.

Hourly rates of $22-$24 depending on qualifications.

Gardening Enthusiast

This individual should love to work outside and not be afraid to get into the garden and work. Daily responsibilities will be to work with our horticulturist and at times with others or independently to maintain residential and commercial properties…specifically plant material. A knowledge of plant material, pruning experience and attention to detail are all assets that we are looking for in the qualified individuals for this position A driver’s license, clean abstract is also necessary as this individual may at times be working independently. This position is flexible enough to offer someone from 3-5 days per week depending on availability and qualifications. Hourly compensation is based on qualifications …$18-$20 

Maintenance Crew Assistant

Red Bear is seeking a motivated, full time property maintenance professional. This individual will be responsible in assisting with maintenance of residential and commercial properties. Individuals with the ability to make small repairs, and maintain our field equipment: mowers, trimmers, small engines and have a level of experience and comfort with operating all of the mentioned equipment will be given greater consideration. Clean drivers abstract and comfort in driving trucks with large trailers an asset.

​The candidate must be able to get to and from our location in Kitchener and work flexible hours, start time of 7 am. This position is available through November and winter employment is also a possibility….. Hourly rates of $19-22. 

Landscaping Crew Foreman

This individual should have a minimum 3 years of experience in landscaping OR similar hands-on construction. eg. Carpentry, Masonry. Your role…to lead a team of 2 or 3 and at times more in the field. Communication skills and attention to detail will help your success in this position.

Daily responsibilities will be to work in the field and lead a team while working to accomplish our landscaping designs. A willingness to work hours beyond the norm on occasion is required. No Sundays, but occasional Saturday work is to be expected.

Applicants MUST be licensed and expect a driving abstract review. Experience in driving a truck/trailer combination is expected.

Hourly Compensation rate of $27-30 pending qualifications.

Landscaping TEAM

This individual need not be experienced in landscaping but must be comfortable with hard and heavy work. A comfort level in working with power tools is also an asset… specifically concrete saws, grinders and tamping equipment.

Daily responsibilities will be to assist with our landscape crew on residential projects. A willingness to work hours beyond the norm on occasion are required. No Sundays but occasional Saturday work is to be expected.

Applicants with a clean drivers abstract will be given priority and experience in driving a truck/trailer combination is an asset.

Hourly Compensation rate of $18-23 pending qualifications.
